Cathal Friel, Killinure, Tullow, Co. Carlow formerly of Glencoagh, Mountcharles, Co. Donegal passed away suddenly on 1st May 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny; predeceased by his loving wife Sarah (Sally), brother Conn and sister Marion. Loved and cherished by his daughters Annie and Mary, his sons-in-law Simon and Johnnie, grandchildren Chelsea, Sara-Ann and her partner Jonathon, Laura and her husband Cormac, and Michael, great-grandchildren Zara, Aria and Noah, his brothers Liam , Dan and Eamon and sister, Sr. Eileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his residence (Eircode R93 AH59) on Tuesday, 7th May from 12 noon concluding at 9pm. House private thereafter please. Funeral arriving to St. Finian’s Church, Kilquiggan (Eircode R93 R729) on Wednesday for 12 noon Requiem Mass after which he will be laid to rest with Sarah in Kilquiggan Cemetery.
